Mc Michael

This fire is currently under investigation. Local outfitter and hunting guides called the smoke report and location into Teton Interagency Fire Dispatch on 10/16. Soon after, Teton Interagency Fire Module responded to the area and located the 1/2 acre fire torching near the Green Mountain and McMichael Draw areas close to the South Fork of Spread Creek. The fire appears to have been smoldering for several days before detection and any information on the fire's cause can be shared to 307-739-5424  

Crow

Helicopter 35HX responded to a smoke report and located this .10 acre fire September 26th. The fire is smoldering and creeping in grass and sage. Cause of fire is unknown at this time. Location of this fire is in the South Crow Creek drainage adjacent to trail 044 on Greys River Ranger District.

Middle Fork

The Middle Fork Fire was reported by the public late Thursday evening and was confirmed at 11pm. Due to fire fighter safety, E-411 and E-631 responded Friday morning and along with Helicopter 35HX, are suppressing the fire at this time.The fire is located in the Middle Fork area of Commissary Ridge, north of Kemmerer, WY. The Middle Fire was contained and controlled Saturday evening. Crews will continue to work hot spots until completely cold dead out. 

Porcupine

This fire was discovered by hikers and reported burning in the Bridger Wilderness alongside a trail. Firefighters hiked in and were able to suppress the fire by the following day. UPDATE: The cause is suspected to be from burning toilet paper (see photos). The area had not received recent lightning.
