Teton Interagency Fire

Travis Fire Update 7/24/25 at 8:41 a.m.

Firefighters are working to suppress the Travis Lake Fire on the West Zone of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The fire is now 50% contained.

Resources continue to remove hazardous trees and are focusing on mopping up heat near holding lines.

The Travis Lake Fire was reported on July 21 around 2:30 p.m. and is estimated at approximately 3 acres in size. The fire is located on a ridge in timber in-between the Commissary Ridge and Little Corral Creek trails, east of Travis Lake. Cause of the fire is unknown.

This two-acre fire started after thunderstorms passed over the Gros Ventre/ Bacon ridge area on July 1.  Swan Valley helicopter is supporting the fire with personnel off that helicopter. More firefighting resources have been requested, and the fire is under a suppression strategy. The fire is active in heavy dead and down timber and snags are a considerable hazard for those fighting the fire. 
 

The Bridger-Teton National Forest is responding to the #ManPeak Fire reported Tuesday July 1,2025  in the vicinity of Man Peak at 9000-ft elevation  The fire is approximately  1/10 acre located off of  the Greys River  just above Moose Flat campground.  Smoke may be visible -please do not report. Fire danger on the forest remains at High. Two firefighters are on scene. The cause is undetermined. For firefighter safety remember do not fly drones over the fire area. If you fly, we can’t.

The firefighters on the Bridger-Teton National Forest are responding to the Pine Grove fire reported the evening of July 1, 2025 located  off of Pine Grove Ridge Road  approximately 2 miles from Deadline Ridge,  roughly 10miles southwest of Big Piney Wyoming
