Helicopter 86G conducted a recon flight between Stewart Creek and Middle Creek in a followup to a smoke report from last night. The Stewart Creek Fire is 1/10 acre, fire personnel will staff overnight. Full Suppression action. Called out as of 9/23
This fire was discovered and reported by hikers in the Bridger Wilderness Area. Firefighters hiked in to suppress the fire, which is located approximately six miles in from the Scab Creek Trailhead.
Lightning caused fire, burning south of Bryan Flats on Beaver Mountain on the Jackson Ranger District. The fire is still quite small, burning in a single tree, brush and grassy fuels. Two interagency helitackers are suppressing the fire and hope to return to the helibase after putting out the fire completely later today 9/11.
09/09- Crews will continue to remove the hose lay around the fires perimeter and scout for any remaining heat, which is not likely after the weather over the area the last two days. Thank-you to our partners and the JH community for your help and support during this incident.

9/7 5:12 pm - The fire is out and all resources are off the fire.
9:40 am - The Incident Commander declared the fire controlled early this morning when no smokes were visible within the fire perimeter. The handcrew and helicopter have been released to aid in a fire outside Jackson, WY but crews from local Forest engines continue to work the fire today.
The Cabin Creek Fire is Under investigation.
The Birch Creek Fire is determined to be human caused. A fire investigator was called in and indicators showed an abandoned warming fire. Our #1 human caused fires are during hunting season, August-October, due to not completely extinguishing their warming fire.

Located approximately 6 miles southwest of Wilson, Wyoming, just above the Mosquito Creek drainage. The fire is under a full suppression strategy. Containment is at 95%. The fire show's little to no fire activity and remains on the ridge line just west of the Bridger-Teton Forest boundary. Caribou Targhee fire managers have placed the fire in a patrol status due to impacts from weather and the suppression tactics over the last two weeks.
