Elkhart Park

This fire was discovered at around 7 pm on 6/25 on the Pinedale Ranger District in the Bridger Wilderness. It's located north of Fremont Lake, on the west side of Pine Creek. Helicopter 35HX responded and completed bucket work to cool the fire and slow spread. The fire is burning is steep rugged terrain. Full suppression actions are being taken. Helicopters will resume bucket work today. 

Kinky Creek

Fire managers are implementing both direct suppression and indirect confinement strategies. Direct suppression occurs when firefighters engage the active fire perimeter to stop fire spread. Indirect confinement strategies use natural barriers, terrain features, and strategic firing operations, when necessary, to influence fire movement while minimizing risk to firefighters. A closure area has been identified for public safety.

Holmes Cave

This 2 acre fire was called in from the Bear Cub Pass area within the Teton Wilderness. The fire is actively burning in timber and meadow fuel models. Helicopter 35X is on scene and will be supporting the firefighters on the ground. More information will be posted as it is made available.
