Afternoon thunderstorms on July 5th, are responsible for  two new lightning caused fires in the Hoback area of the Jackson Ranger District. The first is located on a north facing slope, burning in mixed brush and timber, west of Volunteer Fire Station 3. Two helitack have been delivered to the top of the ridge above the fire and suppressing the .01 acre fire described as having low spread potential.
