Man Peak

The Bridger-Teton National Forest is responding to the #ManPeak Fire reported Tuesday July 1,2025  in the vicinity of Man Peak at 9000-ft elevation  The fire is approximately  1/10 acre located off of  the Greys River  just above Moose Flat campground.  Smoke may be visible -please do not report. Fire danger on the forest remains at High. Two firefighters are on scene. The cause is undetermined. For firefighter safety remember do not fly drones over the fire area. If you fly, we can’t.

Pine Grove

The firefighters on the Bridger-Teton National Forest are responding to the Pine Grove fire reported the evening of July 1, 2025 located  off of Pine Grove Ridge Road  approximately 2 miles from Deadline Ridge,  roughly 10miles southwest of Big Piney Wyoming  

Sheep

This fire started from an abandoned campfire off Forest Service Road 30455 from Sheep Creek Road. The fire spread to 25 x 15 feet before the Fire Mgt Officer arrived on scene. Additional firefighters and prevention patrol vehicle were ordered to assist in suppressing the fire.

Ski

The fire was discovered on the Jackson Ranger District of the Bridger Teton National Forest on the evening of Monday 6/16.  The 1/5 acre fire was burning near Ski Lake in subalpine fir and visible from the town of Jackson. Firefighters took suppressive actions with 10 firefighters, one fire engine, and a type three helicopter to attack the fire. The fire causes is lightning and there are no road or trail closures.  Fire danger for the Bridger Teton is “Moderate”

Fremont

This fire was discovered by zone LEO and reported to fire personnel. Forest Service Engine 671 responded and extinguished the burning log that was burning outside of a fire ring.

McCollister

The McCollister Fire started on 5/22 about 6PM when a tree fell on a power line and started a fire in grass and a small aspen stand of timber. The fire is adjacent to the unoccupied historic McCollister Ranch on Antelope Flats in Grand Teton National Park. Engine-301 and the Fire Effects crew responded to the fire.  Lower Valley Energy responded to make sure the power line was off and repair the downed line. The fire was quickly controlled. E-301 monitored the fire to make sure it was contained. The fire has been declared out.
