Teton Interagency Fire

Visitors in the Four Mile area spotted this smoldering abandoned campfire just hours before the predicted red flag warning and high winds developed over the area for the day. The fire was burning into adjacent timber, very dry fuels and had the potential to negatively impact the local Lodge less than 1/4 mile east of the poorly located campfire. The Bridger Teton N.F. implemented forest wide fire restrictions the following day for most of the forest areas.
