West Zone Fuels Specialist, GS-401-9/11 - The Bridger-Teton National Forest is seeking qualified individual for one temporary promotion or detail for a vacant Zone Fuels Specialist on either the West Zone (Kemmerer and Greys River Ranger Districts) or East Zone (Big Piney and Pinedale Ranger Districts) of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. For Temp Promotion please respond by January 5th with a targeted start date of February 9th. This position will be filled during the Non-Centralized Phase 2 R4 Hiring Event and the Vacancy Announcement will be open from January 13th-22nd, 2026.

Seasonal (temporary NTE 1039) Wildland Fire Positions, Bridger-Teton NF, open 12/31/2025 - 01/14/2025
The Bridger-Teton National Forest will be hiring and backfilling summer seasonal fire and fire support positions for the 2026 summer season starting December 31st, 2025. Applicants must apply to the module vacancy by selecting the specific Duty Station in USAjobs. You must have your completed application submitted by midnight EST (Eastern Standard Time) of the closing date of the vacancy. The Forest may be filling wildland fire positions, including: helitack, engines, fire module and fire cache as they were not filled in earlier hiring phases. Housing may be available at some duty stations.
Position will ONLY be filled for each job announcement listed IF they are needed. These positions will be temporary, not to exceed 1039 hours unless granted an extension. All positions will be advertised on USAJOBS, www.usajobs.gov. Please carefully read the Outreach Notice for new application instructions.
