PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Ensure that Boise District BLM fire training and workforce development supports the overall Bureau mission
Provide and disseminate fire specific and agency required traininig opportunites for personnel
Advocate for professional development of the individual firefighter

The Boise District BLM Fire Training Program consists of a Training Officer who is supervised by the Fire Management Officer.
Duties include: Provide the local district fire training and ensure it meets the agency, district, and personnel needs; IQCS and training records qualification manager, provide coordination and instruction of local training courses; develop and manage the training website; local training representative to the Great Basin, Southwest Zone and area colleges; facilitate and provide guidance to the Red Card Committee; administer the Administratively Determined AD employee program; and promote and organize the local district fire video/photo library.
