Central Nevada Dispatch supports ongoing fire and emergency incident logistical needs by receiving and placing orders for equipment and supplies through Dispatch. The Central Nevada zone has two local supply caches hosted by the BLM that can support the majority of incidents that occur within the zone.
Equipment and Supply orders for current ongoing incidents are placed through CNIDC by the Incident Commander or Logistics Section. CNIDC uses the "closest resource" concept and follows the dispatch priority list for contracted resources once agency and cooperator resources are exhausted.
