About Central Nevada Interagency Dispatch Center
Located at the municipal airport in Winnemucca, Nevada, CNIDC provides initial attack dispatching and logistical support for emergency response to wildland fire incidents on over 24 million acres of public land in Central Nevada to include the Winnemucca and Battle Mountain Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Districts, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), the Santa Rosa Forest Service Ranger District and Austin and Tonopah Ranger Districts of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. In addition CNIDC also provides service to state lands for the Nevada Division of Forestry. The center employs five full-time, five career-seasonal, and four to six temporary-seasonal personnel.
