TYPE 1 CREW - INFORMATION
TYPE 1 CREW LISTING: All Crews that are funded for Type 1 IHC certification by the agencies will be listed, but not necessarily in the rotation (see Rotation below). If a crew is not meeting the requirements for Type 1 within the Standards for Interagency Hotshot Crew Operations Guide (SIHCO), an "*" is placed beside the crew name indicating T2IA status.
WITHIN AREA T1 IHC ASSIGNMENTS: SWCC will generally assign the closest IHC Crew to incidents in the Southwest. If the closest crew is on an "Available Day Off (AD)" status, SWCC will instead mobilize another Type 1 IHC that is on duty and available in the area. The "AD" crew will not be mobilized if there is an available crew within 100 miles additional travel distance to the incident than the "AD" crew.
T1 IHC OUT OF AREA ROTATION:
The rotation is built according to when crews come available in the Spring. Next in-line rotation will be when the crew returns from out of area, met work rest guidelines, and becomes available nationally (A). If a crew is shown AL, C, U, or MD, the rotation will go to the next available crew. Type 1 IHC crews and IHC crews statused as T2IA will be included in the Out-of-Area Rotation.
NOTE ON T1 IHC CREWS BORDERING NEIGHBORING GEOGRAPHIC AREAS: Crews located close to Southwest Area boundaries may get initial attack/short duration assignments across the border to a unit directly adjacent to the Southwest Area and the crew will retain their slot once released and available again. Date and time needed may also necessitate deviation from the out-of-area rotation.
Commit date (Date Com.) - day the crew started a 14 day tour. Incident commit (Inc.Com.) - day the crew was assigned to the current incident.

TYPE 2 CREW - INFORMATION
NOTE ON T2 CREW REQUESTS: SWCC places orders for T2 crews to the Dispatch Center only. The Dispatch Center decides which crew(s) within the Zone will fill an order. When crews are assigned to a Geographic Area other than the Southwest Area, the crew can be re-assigned within the new Geographic Area and the SWA will not necessarily know about the re-assignment.
