The Northern Colorado Interagency Dispatch Center (NCC) is one of eight Interagency Dispatch Centers in the Rocky Mountain Area. The purpose of the NCC is to manage wildland fires and the mobilization of wildland firefighting resources in Northern Colorado. The Northern Colorado Board of Directors (NCBOD) represents the Bureau of Land Management (BLM); the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS); the National Park Service (NPS); the US Forest Service (USFS); Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC); Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Grand, Jackson, Kit Carson, Larimer, Logan, Moffat, Morgan, Phillips, Rio Blanco, Routt, Sedgeick, Washington, Weld and Yuma Counties. Numerous Volunteer Fire Departments and Fire Protection Districts in Northern Colorado participate in local, regional, and national interagency wildland fire management through the Northern Colorado Interagency Dispatch Center. The NCBOD advises the NCC Interagency Dispatch Center on matters of wildland fire management and cooperation.
As you navigate this website, it will become obvious that it is technical in design and is primarily for use by local and geographic area wildland fire managers and firefighters. For the general public, this website may not meet your needs. If this is the case, please check out the National Fire News website, provided by the National Interagency Fire Center, and the InciWeb website, provided as a guide to large fire incidents throughout the United States. |
