Call When Needed (AD) Firefighters

Emergency firefighters: In addition to regular government temporary/seasonal employment, we may train a certain number of individuals to help fight fires in a “Call When Needed” situation.  These positions are called Emergency Firefighters and are often referred to as “AD’s”.

To sign up as an emergency firefighter with Central Utah Fire, you must reside within the boundaries that make up the Central Utah fire organization. These include the following counties: Juab, Millard, Beaver, Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, and Wayne.  Depending on the need, individuals are selected to be trained as a Wildland firefighter and put on a call when needed list.

To find out if any ADs are being hired in your area of interest, contact the DFAMO in the area you are interested in by May 1.
