Interagency Fire Organization is responsible for fire and fuels management on
lands administered by the Fishlake National Forest, the Richfield and Fillmore
Field Offices of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Capitol Reef National Park,

Call When Needed (AD)
Firefighters
Emergency
firefighters: In addition to regular
government temporary/seasonal employment, we may train a certain number of
individuals to help fight fires in a “Call When
Needed” situation. These
positions are called Emergency Firefighters and are often referred to as
“AD’s”.
To sign up as an emergency
firefighter with Central Utah Fire, you must reside within the boundaries that
make up the Central Utah fire organization. These include the following
counties: Juab, Millard, Beaver, Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, and Wayne. Depending on the need, individuals are selected to be trained as a Wildland
firefighter and put on a call when needed list.

being hired in your area of interest, contact the DFAMO in the area you are
interested in by May 1.

Call When Needed CAMP CREW
Camp Crew: When large fires occur and a fire
camp is established, help is needed to keep the camp clean and organized. Camp
Crews are ordered by the incident to assist with these duties. Camp Crews are a
call when needed resource and there is no guarantee of employment.
Assignments can be up to 14 days long excluding travel.
You must be 16 years old to participate in the
program.
