Forecast Discussion:

For today and Friday, there is a 15-25% chance for showers and
thunderstorms in southern Mono and Mineral counties. By Friday
and Saturday, the combination of low humidities and increasing
southwest winds will generate a window of critical fire weather
conditions for NE California and western Nevada. Other areas in
the inner basin and ranges as well as the lower elevations in
Mono County will also have an increase in southwest winds each
afternoon, creating elevated fire weather conditions.
