Welcome to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center (SFIDC) located in Minden, Nevada. For over 20 years SFIDC has been the interagency local ordering point for mobilizing resources for wildland and prescribed fires in Western Nevada and the Eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains known as the Sierra Front area.
SFIDC’s area of influence encompasses approximately 11.5 million acres and represents multiple Agencies: Bureau of Land Management Carson City District, Bureau of Indian Affairs-Western Nevada Agency, USFS Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest (Carson and Bridgeport Ranger Districts), Nevada Division of Forestry (Western Region) and numerous municipalities.at the local and county level.
