Change Process for the Southwest Interagency Mobilization Guide
The Southwest Coordination Center is responsible for revisions of the Southwest Interagency Mobilization Guide (SWMG). The Southwest Coordinating Group (SWCG) approves all changes for Southwest Supplemental Guidance contained within the SWMG, as well as providing oversite and review.
Suggestions for changes can be submitted at any time during the calendar year. The SWCC will review any proposed guidance with the SWCG and coordinate closely with SWA Committees as applicable.
The National Mobilization Guide (NMG) is published each year by March 1. The SWCC will publish the SWMG each year by April 1 after the release of NMG guidance. All proposed changes for the SWMG should be submitted by March 1 for consideration by the April 1 posting date.
The process for suggesting modifications to the SWMG is through the online form below and will be routed to the appropriate SWA Committee and/or the SWCG.
The SWMG is specifically designed for establishing the standards for interagency coordination and mobilization of resources. If you have questions or suggested changes that refer to specific agency standards or go beyond the scope of the SWMG, please review the Interagency Standards for Fire and Fire Aviation Operations or your specific agency guidance and submit changes or suggestions through those processes.
