is an organizational concept incorporated
at the Geographic and National Level Coordination Centers.
It is the assimilation of the Fire Intelligence Section and the
Fire Weather Program at these levels to produce various interrelated
products. At the Northern California Coordination Center,
these two sections will continue to produce their long-standing
products, but will collaboratively work together, along with a detailed
Fire Behavior Analyst (FBAN) during the fire season, as the ONCC
Predictive Services Group producing daily, weekly, monthly, and
seasonal Fire Weather / Fire Danger Outlook products.
INTELLIGENCE...The
Intelligence Section provides fire management personnel, incident
managers, firefighters and support staff with access to current
intelligence on preparedness levels, fire situation, resources,
mapping and satellite imagery, climatology, preparedness levels,
resource availability and rotations, and fire potential information.
WEATHER...The
weather unit acts as the local meteorological consultant for Northern
California Geographic Area Coordination Center and provides daily
fire season weather briefings, regional fire weather and other forecasts
and services.
FUELS/FIRE
DANGER...This area will contain
Fire Danger Rating System reports and charts for ONCC area and Wildland
Fire Assessment System products relating to fuels.
OUTLOOKS...Outlooks
are made with the most recent weather data available. It is a general
report intended to provide fire management personnel with an area
wide outlook.
