Predictive Services

The role of the Predictive Services section of the Northwest Coordination Center is to provide quantitatively-based fire occurrence and fire weather models to fire planners at all Federal and state units throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Intelligence Products page contains the Pacific NW Area daily Situation Report (Sit Report) as well as the daily Shared Resources status report (AM Report). There are also links to the National Interagency Management Situation Report (IMSR).

The weather page contains links to observed and forecasted weather information from NWCC Predictive Services and the National Weather Service. This includes temperature and humidity guidance, current NWS fire weather forecasts, regional climate information, drought indices, satellite pictures, RAWS observations and numerical weather model graphics.


Fuels/Fire Danger

The Fuels/Fire Danger page contains products created and edited by the Predictive Services unit for the purposes of estimating fire danger at various time intervals into the future.
