We will be sponsoring 3 type 3 teams again this fire season. The team ICs are as follows: TEAM 1 WILLY WATSABAUGH; TEAM 2 (shared) MARK RANDALL & JON ZIEGLER; TEAM 3 (shared)STEVE MARKASON & RON STEFFENS. I have attached the 2018 type 3 team applications for team, cadre, and trainees. Please fill out an application and return them to me by APRIL 21. Great Basin is sponsoring a type 3 team training session April 9-13 in Reno, NV. Once I get the agenda I will forward it onto this group. Once our teams have been chosen, there will be a team meeting sometime in May/June as we have done in the past. Remember, if you are applying as an ICT3 trainee, you don’t need to put in a date, unless you will only be available during that time. ICT3 trainees are prioritized by the team administrators, and go out according to the listing; if the first one on the list is not available at the time of the assignment, then the second one is offered the assignment. If you are sharing the position with someone, please make a note in the remarks space. Just a reminder, Rawlins dispatch center closed this past year and the duties were transferred to Casper dispatch center. However, it was decided to keep the same policy as we have had in the past: only those who are located within the following 8 WY counties; Albany, Carbon, Laramie, Lincoln, Sublette, Sweetwater, Teton, Uinta may apply for team positions and all out of area folks only can apply for our cadre. REMEMBER if you apply for a team position, you are committed to be available for that team’s call up periods. If you have an opportunity to take another assignment, you need to inform your IC of the opportunity and have contacted someone that will be willing to cover for your absence. REMINDER!!!!!!!! This is the last year that local standards may be used for out of area dispatches. Starting October 1, 2018, all positions will have to meet 310-1 qualifications.
