Eastern Area Coordinating Group (EACC)

The Eastern Area Coordination Group (EACG) is established to provide an interagency approach to wildland fire management and all hazard support for all land ownerships within the 20 northeastern states.

The EACG is comprised of representatives from the Great Lakes Compact Forest Fire Compact, Big Rivers Forest Fire Compact, Mid-Atlantic Forest Fire Compact, Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Forest Service.

The purpose of EACG is to strengthen interagency cooperation, communications, coordination, and to provide interagency fire management direction and all hazard support for the Eastern Area Geographic Area.
