Rocky Mountain Interagency Cache 2009 Policy Inventory Draw Down

General Policy

Rocky Mountain Interagency Support Cache (RMK) strives to support all emergency incidents regardless of agency association, type of emergency or location, provided such support does not compromise its primary mission. The primary mission is to support fire suppression in the assigned Geographic Area. In so far as that mission is met, remaining supplies are available to the general good of emergency response.

In the event that emergency response activities outside of the Geographic Area incur a demand for RMK supplies, the following guidelines will be used to determine the minimum level of inventory to be reserved for Northern Rockies use. The Cache Manager, or the Asst Cache Manager, may draw down inventory below 50% reserve on a case-by-case basis, but only after thorough situation analysis, consultation with staff and Cache Manager and input from the Rocky Mountain Area Coordinator.

Rocky Mountain Planning Level Minimum Reserved For NR Use
I, II and III 50%
IV 75%
V 100%
