The Unaweep Wildland Fire Module has been moved to a new page:
The mission of the Unaweep Wildland Fire Module (WFM) is to provide a safe, professional, motivated, and highly skilled interagency resource for wildfires and prescribed fire.
The Unaweep WFM is a 7 person crew based out of the Upper Colorado River Fire Management Unit in Grand Junction, CO. The crew is a Type I National Resource and can be dispatched to an incident anywhere in the United States, as needed.
Fire season for Unaweep starts in mid-April and runs through mid-October and typically consists of prescribed burning assignments in the spring and fall with the majority of the module's time being spent on long term managed fires during the summer months.
