Central California Interagency Communication Center

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Central California Interagency Communication Center. By the middle of June, the Sequoia Emergency Communication Center will cease operations and the new Central California Interagency Communication Center will initiate operations from the new office here in Porterville. Our new address:

Central California Interagency Communication Center
2750 Yowlumne Avenue
Porterville, CA 93257

The center will provide integrated communications support using the call sign "Porterville" for the following agencies:

  • USDA, Sequoia National Forest (SQF)
  • USDI, Central California Region (BBD)
  • Tule River Reservation Fire Department (TIA)

The biggest change will be the use of the Sequoia Net 3 and 4 as the dispatch frequency for all fire resources and incidents under the control of CCICC. Also, all law enforcement activities will be dispatched under the Sequoia LE Net.

The emergency phone numbers will remain the same and the center will still be connected to the forest "tie" line.

The new Interagency Communication Center will provide support for Administration, Fire, and Law Enforcement for over 2.5 million acres in the central portion of California and is expected to handle more than 5,000 incidents a year.

CCICC fire and law enforcement resources will include:

  • 13 Type III Engines
  • 6 Type IV Engines
  • 4 Water Tenders
  • 3 Dozers
