LARGE INCIDENT INFORMATION (Incidents Reported via the NIMS ICS-209 Program)
The following Large Fires are listed according to priority. Large incidents are defined as fires which are 100+ acres in timber or 300+ acres in grass/brush, or incidents with a Type 1 or 2 IMT assigned. Updated Large Incidents

WEST FORK, Kootenai NF. Full Suppression and point zone protection management strategy. Lightning caused, located 7 miles NW of Libby, MT. Transfer of command from IMT 2 (Esperance) back to the local unit will occur today.  IMT also managing the Moose Peak fire. Timber (grass and understory). Minimal fire behavior with smoldering. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Anticipated containment 10/07. Last report unless significant activity occurs.

MOOSE PEAK, Kootenai NF. Full Suppression and confine management strategy. Lightning caused, located 13 miles E of Trout Creek, MT. Timber (grass and understory). Transfer of command from IMT 2 (Esperance) back to the local unit will occur today. IMT also managing the West Fork fire. Minimal fire behavior with smoldering. Road and area closures in effect. Anticipated containment 10/30. Last report unless significant activity occurs.

HIGHWAY 200 COMPLEX, Lolo NF. Full suppression and point zone protection management strategy. Lightning caused, located 9 miles NW of Plains, MT. Local Type IMT 3 (Schrenk, IC). Complex includes: Cub Creek, Deep Creek, Miller Creek, Reader, Reader 2 and Sheep Gap fires. Timber (grass and understory) and closed timber. Minimal fire behavior with creeping,  smoldering. There are still area closures in place, but they all have been reduced. Anticipated containment 10/15. Last report unless significant activity occurs.

SPRAGUE, Glacier National Park. Point zone protection, confine and monitor management strategy. Lightning caused, located 9 miles NE of West Glacier, MT. Local Type 3 IMT (Pargman, IC) . Timber (litter and understory). Minimal fire behavior with backing, creeping and smoldering.. Numerous structures threatened including Park Headquarters area and historic structures on the National Register of Historic Places. Evacuations order has been lifted. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Anticipated containment 11/01. Last report unless significant activity occurs.

RICE RIDGE, Lolo NF. Full suppression, confine and monitor management strategy. Lightning caused, located 1.4 miles N of Seeley Lake, MT. Wildland Fire Management Team (Hutton,IC) . Timber (litter and understory). Minimal fire behavior with smoldering and creeping. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Anticipated containment 10/15. 

LOLO PEAK, Lolo NF. Full suppression management strategy. Lightning caused, located 10 miles SW of Lolo, MT. Type 2 Incident Management Team (Almas, IC). Closed timber litter and timber (litter and understory). Minimal fire behavior with smoldering. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Anticipated containment 10/31. Snow at higher elevations is receding slowly.
