The Rocky Mountain Interagency Support Cache organization has a variety of jobs which require a wide range of technical, managerial and personal skills. Occupational groups engaged in the business include Supply Management (technician) and Operations as a Materials Handler. People performing these jobs may have permanent career, career seasonal, term-limited seasonal or temporary positions. Career and term-limited positions are competitively hired and are advertised on USAJobs .

As the fire season fluctuates, additional people are brought on board for temporary jobs. Another group of temporary workers are called AD-hires. These are hired when the need arises for specific tasks, such as delivering supplies. Each assignment is a separate hire, but the assignments are unlimited depending on activity. Because these are on-the-spot hires, we draw off a rotating list of people who register with us in advance of the fire season.
