GPC Engine Rotation Protocol
GPC Engine Rotation

1. Rotation is clockwise from random start, continued from that point through season and brought forward to subsequent years.

2. Missed opportunities for assignment do not result in repositioning on chart.

3. If engines are not statused as available at any point on rotation, GPC will pass over as a default.

4. Closest resources philosophy is still a criteria for consideration on out of area assignments.

5. Engine standard is fully qualified engine boss with two fully qualified firefighters (staff of 3.)

6. Agency-specific requests (i.e. BIA to BIA request for only Federal engine, etc.) will not result in lost position on rotation.

GPC will prioritize VFD engines in the same zone in the order that they statused available in IROC.
