Mobile Fire Equipment Sub-Committee
Regional Fire Equipment Committee
The Sub-Committee will seek input, analyze effectiveness, and make recommendations to the Regional Fire Equipment Committee for adoption and implementation. The sub-committee will also report on actions implemented.
The committee will consist of field membership selected from their interest and willingness to serve and related background in the field of engines, crew transports, water tenders and other mobile fire apparatus or water handling equipment/technology. The goal is to seek a balance of representation from Engineer/Captains, Chief Officers, or IHC Superintendent based on Northern, Central and Southern California. Representatives from Regional Fleet and Mechanics are essential. Participation from SDTDC is highly desired to provide insight and technical support as needed.

Replacement of Members
The Division Chief Committee is responsible to identify replacement committee members. Committee members will have concurrence from the Forest Supervisor and unit heads. (Note: As of 11/27/99, this has not been concurred with by the Division Chief Committee. The proposal is in process and Charter will be revised.)
Selection / Tenure / Duties of Chairperson
The MFEC will meet twice per year to provide input to the RFEC. Additional Task Forces may be needed to accomplish MFEC tasks.
