North Ops Daily Weather Discussion

Issued 0845 PDT Thursday April 25, 2013

For use April 25th:

High pressure over Northern CA will produce very dry and warm conditions with light winds through Saturday.  Overnight RH recovery, which has been very poor in many areas, will gradually improve.  By Saturday night a low pressure trough over the Pacific NW will begin to dip southward into far Northern CA.  Increasing onshore flow will help improve overnight RH recovery and bring cooler temperatures to many areas.  Northern and eastern areas will see increasing clouds, and an isolated rain shower near higher terrain is possible Monday and Tuesday.  Light to moderate NW-NE surface winds will return Sunday and Monday, and stronger N-E foehn winds will develop Tuesday and Wednesday from the western slopes of the Sierra to the coast.
