Teton Interagency Fire

The North Zone of the Bridger-Teton National Forest, including Jackson and Blackrock Ranger Districts, will begin implementing prescribed (Rx) fire in the Upper Gros Ventre today, Oct. 8, and continue operations through Saturday, Oct. 10, as conditions allow.

Broadcast burning operations are planned in the Upper Gros Ventre Rx project area, located approximately 25 miles northeast of Jackson, WY, in the area of Slate Creek and Haystack Fork. Smoke will be visible in the area through Saturday.

Please do not report these fires, as firefighters will remain on scene throughout ignitions and patrol afterward.
