Travis Fire Update 7/24/25 at 8:41 a.m.

Firefighters are working to suppress the Travis Lake Fire on the West Zone of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The fire is now 50% contained.

Resources continue to remove hazardous trees and are focusing on mopping up heat near holding lines.

The Travis Lake Fire was reported on July 21 around 2:30 p.m. and is estimated at approximately 3 acres in size. The fire is located on a ridge in timber in-between the Commissary Ridge and Little Corral Creek trails, east of Travis Lake. Cause of the fire is unknown.

The public is asked to avoid the area to allow fire crews to work safely and efficiently. Public and firefighter safety are the top priorities during fire suppression efforts. Smoke may be visible in the area, please do not report.
